PLK KAMCHATKA website

A website for a Kamchatka marine logistics company: cargo shipping, transshipment and storage, fuel delivery, its own fleet and a quote request right on the page.

Client and task

PLK KAMCHATKA group from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky carries general, timber, oversized and liquid cargo across the Russian Far East: Kamchatka, the Kuril Islands, Sakhalin, the Magadan region, Primorye and the Khabarovsk region. A client has to understand in a couple of minutes which services there are, on which vessels, and request a quote. The website was built from scratch for six lines of business, the company's own fleet and a partner's products.

What we built

Home page with the headline and service cardsHome page on a phone

Home: every service on one screen

Right under the headline: marine shipping, lighterage, transshipment and unloading, fuel sales and delivery, storage and full-service handling.

Visitors see what the company does before they scroll.

Quote request form in three steps

A quote request in three steps

Service, then cargo type and weight, then contacts. Hose lines have their own form: quantity and parameters.

The request arrives with the data for a quote, the manager doesn't have to call back for details.

World clocks with Kamchatka time

“We work even while you sleep”

Clocks for Moscow, Vladivostok, Magadan and Sakhalin, and the time in Kamchatka in large type.

A client in another time zone sees what time it is at the carrier's.

Marine shipping service page with tabs and advantages

Service page

Each service has tabs “About”, “Cargo”, “Vessels”, “Terms” and advantages as cards. “Any questions?”, the phone and email stay in view on the side.

No need to ask separately about cargo, vessels and terms, and the request form is always at hand.

Fleet page with vessel type filter and drawingsFleet on a phone

Fleet

Vessels with drawings, type and deadweight, filtered by “Sea”, “River-sea”, “Tanker”.

You see which vessels the company runs and how much they carry.

Vessel page: drawing, IMO, deadweight and class

Vessel page

Drawing, IMO, tonnage, deadweight, class, description, specifications and photos in tabs.

A client checks a vessel against their cargo on their own.

Hose lines: product description and specification table

Hose lines

A section on a partner's products, flexible hoses for mobile pipelines: applications, advantages, a specification table by diameter, certificates and a downloadable presentation.

A separate sales line got its own showcase on the same website.

Gallery and contacts

Photos of vessels and port operations; contacts with a map, phone and email.

The company looks alive, and the office is easy to find.

  • Requests without a server

The “Get in touch” and “Request a quote” forms are handled by cloud functions in Yandex Cloud behind an API gateway.

Nothing to maintain: the website and the requests run without a rented server.

What the client got

  • A clear showcase of services

Six lines of business, the fleet and the partner's products on one website with the same page structure.

  • Requests with data for a quote

The form collects the service, cargo and weight, not just a phone number.

  • A website with no upkeep

Static pages and cloud functions for requests need no server of their own.
