Website support and development
Hosting, security and updates, loading cars from 1C, content and a new release almost every month: rotating dealership banners managed from the admin panel, SEO texts and descriptions by make and model, a request to sell your car with picking the dealership on Yandex Maps and mailing it to the people in charge, car booking and a “show phone number” button tracked in analytics.
For two years the website kept changing along with the tasks of the dealerships and marketing.
Unified handover map: the day's schedule
A web app for a dealership: a salesperson books the handover of a sold car into a free slot, the coordinator sees the whole day. The colour of a request shows whether the car is ready: new, in progress, rejected, done; a fully booked hour is highlighted. The coordinator adds extra slots, search works by the last digits of the VIN, and the day, week or month exports to Excel.
A customer is never booked into a taken slot, and the coordinator knows in advance which cars to prepare.
Handover request and rescheduling
A request holds the make, model, one or several VINs for a company, a “registration with traffic police” mark, the salesperson, the customer and comments. The VIN is checked against other active handovers. Rescheduling means picking a new slot and a reason, and the old request stays in the history. Once the coordinator takes a request, the salesperson can no longer change it.
Every handover can be traced from booking to delivery, with the reasons for each reschedule.
Cars from 1C and the car page
We reworked how cars load from the dealerships' 1C: power in hp and kW on the website and in the feeds for third-party listing sites, a new format for equipment, a preview from a backup angle when there is no side photo, and photo processing for the updated feed. A car appears on the website with full data and photos without manual editing and goes out to listing sites that need the engine power.
Price calculator on 1C data
Data for pricing a used car is exported from 1C on a weekly schedule and processed on the website overnight: prices and coefficients by age and mileage, with a check that the file is fresh.
The calculator's estimate relies on the group's current prices, not on a table someone forgot to update.
Virtual showcase
An app for big screens in showrooms: a dealership signs in with its own account, and the screen cycles through its used cars in random order — photo, make, year, mileage and price. Photo processing on the website was reworked for the showcase's 800×600 frame.
Showroom visitors see the dealership's current stock, and the staff don't have to put slides together by hand.
Dealership pages
Every dealership got its own page on bluefish.ru: address and phones, makes in stock linking to the catalogue, a photo gallery, directions, a contact form, and tabs with the dealership's cars, special offers and news. A dealership's news carries its label on the home page too. The dealership edits its page itself in the admin panel.
The dealership got its own presence on the BlueFish website, and buyers get everything about it on one page.
BlueFish car web service
A REST API through which a dealership website takes used cars from the bluefish.ru database in real time: a list filtered by make, model, drive, engine, power, year, mileage, colour and price, a single car by its number, responses in JSON or XML. Access is by key, every request is signed, and development keys are limited in volume and frequency.
Dealer websites show the same cars as BlueFish, with no feeds of their own and no manual copying.
